March 2008 - Redvale HT & Whangarei HT

Entered Redvale Horse Trial, got to paddocks super early, loaded him onto float & drove an hour north to Dairy Flat. Got there nice & early, plaited up & got my test sorted in my head. Got on & rode over to dressage arena, asked him to trot on & sure enough, he's lame. Got the farrier to look him over, suspected possible abscess. Poor pony!! So packed him up & took him home. Got him checked over, small abscess brewing & also slightly jarred up from the hard ground, so scratched from Whangarei as well to give him more time to come right.
