May 2007 Pointways ODE (PreTraining)

Decided it was time to put my brave undies on & give an ODE another try. Entered the Pre Training at Pointways ODE. Got up nice & early went with Sarah in her truck. She was my groom for the day & made sure I was well topped up with Baileys & Chocolate Milk. She's the bestest groom ever! She even leant me her lucky Mark Todd saddleblanket.
Dressage was good



Jumping was even better! He went clear & didn't even hesitate at anything! However he did take off waaaay too early over one jump






Then it was time for the dreaded XC. Flynn had to do his first jump into water & it didn't go down too well with him. He was absolutely horrified by the thought of it & after our first stop, I did the option instead. He then stopped coming down the beach! Got a bit of a smack for that one! He redeemed himself though as he flew over everything else, including his first trakhener, which I was more worried about & kept telling myself to "look up at the trees, look up at the trees"!!!!!
